DAY 7 (5/10/24): Badlands to Keystone

 Luke is always the last one up, and today was no exception:

He is not at all food focused, so even though I was making this breakfast of leftover garlic naan with eggs, he just wanted to stay in bed!

We drove the Badlands Loop Road to take in all of the vistas of the park:  

We were about to turn off the loop to make our way to Wall when we started to see some Big Horn Sheep, so we decided to continue on the unpaved portion of the Loop to see what else was up.  We really hit the jackpot and saw all sorts of wildlife today including Prairie Dogs, Bison, and Pronghorn!

This guy literally crossed the road in front of us!

Fully satisfied, we made our way to the famous Wall Drug Store in Wall, SD.  Kind of a crazy attraction, with all sorts of kitschy items! 

On our way out of town we stopped at one of the Dahl Brothers' newest locations, where they have a ginormous jack-elope sculpture!

Finally made it to Keystone, where we will make a pit stop for 3 nights in an AirBnb...laundry and showers!!!  YAY!!!  Like I said, it's the little things...time for a nightcap...
