DAY 13 (5/16/24): Bozeman to Butte

We were really glad to have made our way to Bozeman early.  The church kindly allows campers to full up water at their place!

Bozeman is a very cool town!

It is a college town, so that probably helps it stay "cool"...note that Barry is being very kind to let me check out the many quilt stores we come across!

We crossed the Continental Divide today on our way to Butte!

Butte was interesting - very different feel altogether.  It sprung out of a mining culture, which is why there is both a school and museum here that specializes in this subject!

The architecture and remains of old advertising was really interesting...even a building named after moi!?  Pretty much all of the old buildings in town are on the historic register!

We had contacted the Mai Wah Museum ahead of time to gain access and a "private" tour since they are not open yet for the season.  Our guide was an interesting character, who quickly led us through the museum.

After the tour we decided to treat ourselves to a Montana steak dinner - YUM - before calling it a night at the local Walmart (first Walmart camp on this road trip).

GOOD NIGHT!
