VAN Travel in "Curiosity"

Although we love to travel internationally, Barry & I have always loved a good road trip.  In fact, for our honeymoon we camped and traveled throughout Arizona, Utah and Colorado (maybe I will do back-up blog posts and document that trip someday)!  

Car camping has been fun, but ever since I read about the "ALCAN Hwy", my dreams became owning a travel pod, trailer, van or RV to take us there.  Fast forward after many years of research, we started to settle on a camper-van (you can contact me separately for my many reasons).  

During the pandemic, as these things became so popular, prices kept creeping up!  Lucky for us, my good friend and co-worker, Lillian happened to mention that their friends were selling their custom sprinter!  We purchased Curiosity from David & Rosanna on Labor Day of 2022.  Delivery/Pick-Up at my brother's place in Huntington Beach:

Our first trip was driving her back to Texas by way of Sedona, where another good friend and ex co-worker, Kristen graciously offered her beautiful Airbnb for a couple of nights' stay.  We enjoyed 2 beautiful hikes there (Devil's Bridge and Cathedral Rock).

Further along, we stopped to visit a newly retired Gregory in Edgewood, NM, and then Wichita Falls, TX before settling her back to storage in Dallas.
